A First Mother's Day |

I texted back: "Wow."
It hadn't hit me. My first Mother's Day. In a whirlwind of firsts, here was one I hadn't considered until Catholic Charities gave me this opportunity to reflect.
Leigh shares her Adoption Services story with us. Read the full story here.

Justice for Survivors |
Kevin Fitzpatrick joined the Promise for Justice Institute along with other agencies who address trauma and human trafficking to promote the Justice for Survivors Act (SB 215) at the Capitol in Baton Rouge on April 25, 2023. The Justice for Survivors Act protects people who may have killed or harmed someone when acting in self-defense against a predator and increases state funding for survivors of violence. Kevin did not testify but stood in solidarity with those who did, which happed to be all women.
