Success at Ciara Independent Living
We first met Harold after he was referred to our Health Guardians program because of his history of overuse of the emergency room and a lack of primary care. He had been living in a rundown apartment and came home one day to find his windows and doors boarded up. He was evicted on the spot.
After a year and a half of receiving case management, a warm home, and a supportive community at Ciara, Harold is moving to Christopher Inn and has gained independent living skills as well as lifelong friends.

When a Door Closes, CCANO Opens a Window
At CCANO's Workforce Development program in St. Charles Parish, locals have found a valuable resource to help them tailor their resume, learn new skills, network with current contacts, and secure a job that is the right fit for them.
"This program is special because it takes the intimidation out of the entire process of finding and applying for a job. Our emphasis on education and our welcoming environment show that we're here for people when it seems like there's nowhere else to go."

Tomorrow, we're kicking off our annual Archbishop Hannan Community Appeal (AHCA) campaign, which raises much-needed unrestricted funds that allow us to respond quickly, effectively, and compassionately in times of crisis and disaster in addition to filling gaps where economic issues force governments to cut support for social service programs.
This year, the 2019 AHCA campaign aims to raise $1.88M to serve the men, women, children and families in need in our community. Donate Today!
