Dear Friend,
Our recent Sunday Mass Scriptures reminded us of the Parable of the Sower of Seeds! The Sower went out and scattered the seeds. Those seeds fell on Good Soil and Not so Good Soil. Good Soil produced beautiful wheat and provided security for the Sower. The Not so Good Soil produced weeds, thorn bushes and choking plants. During these months of the Pandemic, CCANO has been cultivating the “good soil” of services as a result of caring for those in need. We were able to overcome the “bad soil” of hunger, unpaid rent and utilities, domestic violence, medicines and other health needs.
Our case managers, social workers, counselors, and staff have been returning phone calls and following up with a compassionate and caring voice to help thousands of men, women and children. In this newsletter we share with you stories and pictures of the products of our GOOD SOIL!
Thank you to our donors! You made it possible for us ‘who heard the word of God and acted upon it. We were able to produce the Good Fruit, thirty, sixty and one hundred times as much as was sown. (Matthew 13, Mark,4, Luke 8)
