Expectations were high for our Centennial Staff Appreciation Day last month. But even I was moved by the number of staff members across Catholic Charities that showed up for fellowship, food and fun.
Throughout the last 100 years, Catholic Charities has been a major force in shaping the landscape of the Archdiocese of New Orleans by helping others, guided by the love and teaching of Jesus Christ. None of it would be possible without the vision and dedication of every employee who has worked for one of our many programs.
When I stood with 250 of my fellow colleagues for a once-in-a-lifetime group photo, I was in awe of what has been achieved over the last century as well as what our agency can accomplish over the next 100 years. I can only hope that the men, women and children that have been part of the Catholic Charities story agree.
As we begin our 101st year of service, I envision a world overflowing with empathy and hope that the work of our resolute Catholic Charities staff will continue to play a role in it.
Thank you and God Bless,
Sr. Marjorie Hebert, M.S.C.
President and CEO
